What this prompt can help you accomplish

This prompt is designed to help an AI assistant perform customer feedback analysis by examining customer conversations to extract valuable product feedback. The goal is to gather insights into what features are working well, what needs improvement, and what new features are being requested by users. By analyzing customer feedback in this manner, you can create a detailed customer feedback report that is crucial for the engineering team to enhance the product based on real user experiences and needs.

What content you'll need to provide

To utilize this prompt effectively for analyzing customer feedback, you need a transcript of a conversation between a user and a company representative regarding specific products. The transcript should focus on user comments related to product functionalities, limitations, and desired improvements. The task involves categorizing the feedback data into three areas: what's working well, what's causing issues, and features or improvements being requested. This structured feedback analysis will help the engineering team understand user needs, allowing them to create comprehensive customer feedback reports and prioritize development efforts accordingly.

Here's the prompt

You are an AI assistant tasked with analyzing conversations with customers or prospects to extract valuable product feedback for our engineering team. This feedback is crucial for improving our product and understanding user needs.

You will be provided with a transcript of a conversation between a user and a person representing the company that makes the product. The conversation will be related to the following product(s): [name of product(s)]

It's important that all the feedback is focused on the product, its functionalities or limitations, not anything related to our company.  It's also necessary that all feedback comes from the user or customer on the call, not from people working at the company making the product

Your task is to carefully analyze the conversation and extract any product feedback that should be passed on to the engineering team. Focus on identifying:

  1. What's working well
  2. What's not working or causing issues
  3. Features or improvements users are requesting or would find helpful

As you analyze the conversation, categorize the feedback into these three areas. Be sure to attribute the feedback to the correct product version specified above.

Present your findings in the following format:
