What’s New in Storytell: Chrome Extension & Data Insights

During Storytell’s latest product demo and feedback session, March 6th, we showed how you can make your workflows more efficient. The upcoming version of the Chrome extension gives you more control, @mentions work more smoothly, and we’ve expanded use cases to help you get more from your data. Here’s what’s new and how you can start using it.

Chrome extension overhaul

We’re working on the new Storytell Chrome extension as we sunset our Gen1 version. Here’s what’s changing:

• More control: Instead of automatic summaries on every page, you decide when to generate them.
• Collection integration: Choose where to save summaries or use a temporary dump collection.
• Persistent access: The extension stays open across tabs until you close it.

• New activation method: Instead of a floating sidebar tab, you click the pinned icon on the extensions bar to open it.

Improved @mentions & chat navigation

We’ve made @mentioning and chat navigation more reliable:

• @mentions work seamlessly: Typing "@2025" (or other text) no longer breaks with spaces.
• Easier chat history access: Scroll back further in conversations instead of being limited to the most recent few.

Smarter workflows for data insights

We’ve added more use cases on the Storytell website to help you get insights from files and collections.

Here’s how you can put it to work:

• Scale client reports: Upload CSVs, PowerPoints, and PDFs to extract key insights instantly.
• Automate ad campaigns: Generate Google ad campaigns and keyword recommendations from your data, cutting down research time.
• Refine SEO & CPC analysis: Identify SEO topics and find competitive CPC benchmarks for your industry.
• Make data-driven marketing decisions: Instead of sifting through massive amounts of data, use Storytell to surface key takeaways in seconds.

These updates make it easier to apply real-world use cases and use AI-driven insights in your decision-making.
