Hi there! I wanted to share something that has helped me on my quest for knowledge and inspiration. Have you heard of https://www.readsomethinggreat.com/? They feature 5 random web articles every week on fascinating topics, from Living Better to Science and Nature, and more. I love learning and exploring new ideas, but sometimes I get stuck halfway through an article and realize it's not what I was expecting. That's where Storytell comes in - it's been a lifesaver for me! Now, I can get a summary of the article before diving in, so I can make sure it's worth my time. I hope you find this helpful, too! Curious to hear from all of you — do you use our Chrome extension for the same purpose? Any tips or tricks you’d like to share? Let us know how Storytell has helped you and how it could be better.

We've added some new updates to our Chrome Extension! Here's the TLDR: "OFF" browser icon badge when Storytell is deactivated Notification body now shows the TLDR summary Controls for how often notifications are shown Bug fixes The Storytell icon in the Chrome browser bar shows an "OFF" icon when the extension is deactivated The TLDR summary is now shown in the notification body, rather than just letting you know the summary has finished processing. Notification frequency can now be controlled within each notification. You have a few different options for this: If you'd like to test this build out before it goes to the Chrome store, try it here! https://go.storytell.ai/prod-builds

We've made some new updates to our Chrome Extension! TLDR: - Summary report is always accessible at the top of the chat window - Prompt library is expandable above the chat input - Chat input is now larger and more obvious - More intuitive "Save to My Prompt Library" interaction flow - PDF support - minor bug fixes Summary report is now always accessible at the top of the chat window. You no longer have to scroll all the way to the top of the chat to find the summary! We've moved the prompt library above the message input. We feel this is more intuitive, and keeps the chat interface looking like the type of web-based chat users expect. The message input is now larger, which makes it more obvious and easier to access. The "Save to My Prompt Library" UI is more intuitive. Users can activate the save prompt UI by clicking the icon that looks like a bookmark in the lower righthand corner of the message they want to save as a prompt. Sometimes, you don't want Storytell to automatically summarize every page you view. We believe users should have the ability to easily choose what content Storytell is "paused" on. Here's a 4 minute video of how this could work -- we'd love to get your feedback -- you can comment below this post or email feedback@storytell.ai : And if you'd like to become an official beta tester, here's how to sign up.

Many users have asked for the ability to summarize only a section of the content they are viewing, rather than the whole page. Here's a 3 minute video of how this could work -- we'd love to get your feedback -- you can comment below this post or email feedback@storytell.ai : Part II: We have noted your feedback and have made some developments based on it. A notification system within the Chrome Extension could serve many purposes, including: - suggesting to a user that they could use Storytell to summarize a long article rather than reading it - letting a user know their summary is done generating We think this could enhance the Chrome Extension user experience, and help users more effectively utilize the power of Storytell. Here's a 4 minute video of how this could work -- we'd love to get your feedback -- you can comment below this post or email feedback@storytell.ai : And if you'd like to become an official beta tester, here's how to sign up.

A feature we believe users would find helpful is getting to choose between a "faster" response, or a "better" response. Faster means the response would display quicker, but wouldn't be as accurate. A better response would be more accurate and closely related to the content you're viewing, but would take more time to generate. Here's a 3 minute video of how this could work -- we'd love to get your feedback -- you can comment below this post or email feedback@storytell.ai : And if you'd like to become an official beta tester, here's how to sign up.

We've added some exciting updates to our Chrome Extension! Here's the TLDR: - You can now save prompts to your own prompt library - You can now copy the source text for both summaries and long responses - Minor bug fixes Users can now save their own custom prompts to their prompt library. Once you refresh, you should see the prompt in the "My Prompts" section of the prompt library. You can also save the source text for summaries generated by Storytell, or long responses from Storytell. Just click the "Copy" button in the bottom left-hand corner of either of these types of messages, and the text will be copied to your clipboard. We've added a feature to the Chrome Extension that so many people have been asking for: a prompt library! Now you can easily view and submit prompts right in the Chrome Extension. See more details below. Here's a TLDR of this update: - prompt library section has been added below the chat - expand and collapse the prompt library section - quickly send prompts with the blue send button - (the prompt library currently shows 5 trending prompts - we'll be adding a custom prompt library later) - the Chrome Extension no longer runs on Storytell reports or StoryTile pages - Story Tile links show at the end of key concepts as the Story Tile number in brackets Here's a demo video Prompt library section has been added below the chat. Toggle the prompt library by clicking on the "Prompt Library" section title. The library will expand and collapse. Send a prompt in chat by clicking the blue send icon Storytell Chrome Extension no longer runs on Storytell report or StoryTile pages. The extension becomes "disabled" on these pages, and cannot be opened. If you'd like to test this build out before it goes to the Chrome store, try it here! https://go.storytell.ai/prod-builds
